Sometimes movies do not make it to the big screen. This does not mean they are not good. In fact, networks like ABC Family, Life Time, and Hallmark release movies on television all of the time. In the past, you could not purchase them. You would have to catch it when it aired. Now, many networks sell their movies and television series directly on their website. Sometimes these movies are considered “B Movies” because they have a low budget or because they are related to a television series. Holiday specials are good examples. They are seasonal and do not interrupt the series. They are like an aside or an extension of the series.
Since, Casey Kasem has a crucial role in Scooby Doo, he is in all of the TV movies. Though most of his fame generates from being a radio host and the voice of Shaggy, he can step in front of the camera. Thanks to the internet, you can find a lot of his earlier voice acting on YouTube for free. As long as the world has technology, Casey Kasem’s voice will be preserved in TV Movies, TV Series, radio broadcasts, and movies.

10. Here Comes Peter Cottontail
In this Easter special, Casey Kasem voices Peter Cottontail. I have never seen this before. This is surprising because classic Christmas TV movies are aired every year. In fact, sometimes they start airing before Thanksgiving. Do not fret. You can watch it on YouTube!

9. The City that Forgot About Christmas
Sometimes commercialism conceals the meaning of Christmas. Instead of being happy and thankful, people stress about food, decorations, and perfectly wrapped gifts. This special is about reminding people the meaning behind Christmas. This special is not aired often either. Also, back then they did not give specific credit for voice actors. You’ll have to see if you can recognize Kasem.

Halloween specials are also considered television movies. Though Casey Kasem did not voice a Flintstones character in the series, he scored a role in the movie. He is the host of Make a Deal or Not, Monty Marble. Hmm, does that show sound familiar?

7. Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood
Someone is ready for the bright lights and cameras. It’s Scooby-Doo. The whole gang is there to support him. However, something or someone is trying to sabotage the movie! Shaggy and the gang have to help Scooby-Doo find out who it is. Otherwise, he can kiss his Hollywood star goodbye.

Did you love the Lord of the Ring’s Trilogy? If so, did you know there is an animated version? Yes, there is! Casey Kasem was a hobbit named Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck. Too bad he couldn’t be Merry in the live action version.

You’ll notice the gang is not in most of the TV movies. In this movie, Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy are going to a family plantation to collect an inheritance. Unfortunately, the place is haunted!

4. Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School
This is one of my favorite Scooby-Doo movies. At the time, female ghouls were not the main characters in scary movies. Plus, you get to see their legendary father’s in a different light. In the 90s, this Halloween special aired on Cartoon Network often.

3. Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf
Sorry Scooby-Doo fans, Shaggy does not end up with Velma in this movie. Instead, he is turned into a Werewolf. As he resists his animal nature, his friends have to find a way to save him. Otherwise, he will join the monsters.

2. James Dean: Race with Destiny
This can be considered a biopic. Though this motion picture was in theatres, it doesn’t have great reviews. Regardless, it is one of the only films that you can see Casey Kasem. It had to be added. Sometimes, when films bomb at the box office, it leaves theatres very early. To avoid a complete lost, it is aired on television and hard copies are sold. Kasem was Bill Romano

Before you get confused, this is the animated version. It released on 1975. Casey Kasem voiced Uncas. There was a TV series about the French Indian War. Kasem was not in it.
