Bill Murray is a father for Melissa McCarthy's son in 'St. Vincent' trailer (Video)

Bill Murray took on a new role for St. Vincent - a father figure, with questionable morals. The trailer for the new film, which also stars Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Dowd, has just hit the web.

In the film, written and directed by Theodore Melfi, Murray plays a Brooklyn man who has overdrawn his bank account by $12 and has nothing else to do in his life by complain to neighbors. His newest neighbor, played by McCarthy, is a single mom, so Murray hatches a plan to babysit the kid. Jaeden Lieberher plays the son.

McCarthy hires Murray and he takes the kid in several places where children should not go, like a bar and a strip club. But hey, at least he gets to learn from the coolest guy in the world.

O’Dowd has a supporting role as a priest, while Naomi Watts makes an appearance as a stripper.

According to Variety, The Weinstein Company will be releasing the film on Oct. 24. Murray was previously seen in The Grand Budapest Hotel this year, while McCarthy can be seen in Tammy this week.
