Early Wrap: Ben Affleck’s Batman photo, Kristen Bell isn’t happy, and Pharrell Williams recruits Miley Cyrus for his new video

Ben Affleck looks serious in the new Batman. An image, posted by Director Zack Snyder on Twitter, showed Affleck, a.k.a. Batfleck, looking down. Another photo shows Affleck sporting a beard. DC comics is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Batman comic books. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice isn’t opening until May 6, 2016.


The Pacific Rim experience debuted at Comic-Con, an annual conference that takes place in San Diego. The ultimate Pacific Rim experience involves a simulator called the Jaeger Combat Simulator. Oculus VR, a company working with virtual reality, created the simulator for the film with the assistance of Industrial Light and Magic. The film, starring Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston, opens in October 2015.

Kristen Bell, who is playing Mary Poppins, isn’t happy with the minimum wage. A new video called “Mary Poppins Quits” shows Bell singing the recognizable song, “A Spoonful of Sugar.” The video explains that she is only being paid minimum wage by the Banks family. Pharrell Williams recruited Miley Cyrus for his most recent video for “Come Get It Bae.” Williams released the album, G I R L, earlier this year, and “Come Get It Bae” is the most recent video from the album. This isn’t the first time Williams has included a celebrity in one of his videos. The video for Marilyn Monroe featured Kelly Osbourne.

Ravens RB Ray Rice was suspended for two games. Rice violated the league’s conduct policy when he had a conflict with his fiancée. Rice will not be playing the divisional games against the Cincinnati Bengals. He will also be losing two game checks, totaled at $470,588.

A trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey has appeared online. The movie is based on a story by E.L. James. The trailer features Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. The trailer features a remix of the Beyonce song, “Crazy in Love.” The film’s release date has been moved to Feb. 14, 2015.
