'Fargo' creator Noah Hawley calls Allison Tolman's release from the show a crime

News of FX’s plans for Fargo, which is being brought back for a second season is coming to light as more cast and plot announcements are made this week.

Fans may be excited about a new crime to be solved in 2015 but show creator Noah Hadley is admitting to one serious crime already made when it comes to season two: the firing of Allison Tolman. Tolman played Detective Molly Solverson and considering the plot for next season will take place in 1979, her existence was not possible. Hadley feels that everyone should be angry about this as he feels it is, “is a crime and a tragedy, and you should all be very angry at us for doing that” reports the NY Daily News.

Tolman’s character ended up marrying former policeman Gus Grimley at the end of season one and Hadley wishes he could continue their adventure but with next season being a prequel, Detective Solverson would be four years old and not quite ready for police work.

Fargo’s first season earned 18 Emmy nominations which will air on August 25th. How do you feel about a new cast and no Detective Silverson? Are you as angry as Noah Hadley?
