Katherine Heigl says she is not 'difficult' to work with

Katherine Heigl doesn't think she is difficult to work with, despite what her reputation suggests.

While promoting her new series, State of Affairs, during the Television Critics Association summer tour, Heigl appeared before reporters and said some things in defense of what has been said about her in the past.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Heigl spent a good portion of her stage time answering questions about her reputation as an actress.

The 35-year-old finds unfair the things that have been said about her, which include that she voices too many complaints on set and even prompts co-workers to voice complaints about her, reports USA Today.

"I can only say that I certainly don't see myself as being difficult. I would never intend to be difficult,” she said. “I think it's important to everybody to conduct themselves kindly and respectfully and professionally."

The former Grey's Anatomy star has appeared on a string of romantic comedies which have been less than successful. She was last seen on the small screen, not on a series or movie, but on a NyQuil commercial. Heigl's role in State of Affairs will be a comeback for her. She will be playing CIA Analyst Charleston Tucker, who is in charge of the president's briefing book.

About the new series, Heigl stated that it's giving her the chance to allow viewers to see her in a different way as an “actor and performer and storyteller.”
