It is sad to see a band go its separate ways. Though My Chemical Romance split last year, it is still disheartening to know they won’t have a new album coming out. Sure, the Greatest Hits is awesome, but there are only so many new songs they can add to it. Sometimes, bands reach a point. Will they stay for the music or the money? At least they did not rob their fans. Plus, they left behind amazing music. In addition, Gerard Way is working on his Solo album. Right now, he has a single called Action Cat.
Not including greatest hits, My Chemical Romance released four studio albums. Those were I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love (2002), Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004), The Black Parade (2006), and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (2010). The guys went out with style. The trailer for their greatest hits is a montage of their videos. It showcases their growth and creativity. The clips are strategically placed and you can watch it here. Plus, you see rare footage between filming. They are friends; it is nice to see those intimate moments. Let’s take a look back at what they left behind. Unless they reunite, it is all we have left of them.

10. I Don’t Love You
To me, this is a break up song. The breakup is not mutual. However, the person being broken up with wants to know the truth behind it. There is no need for the typical lines. Sometimes, people want to leave, but they don’t want to be the bad guy. There is no good or bad guy. Someone is going to get hurt.

[ New Page=8. Teenagers ]
8.Teenagers
They make teens sound like vampires. I love the social circles that are blended in this video. It’s about banding together and refusing to conform to society’s rules. Becoming an adult is inevitable, but there is no harm in fighting it.
[New Page=7. Helena ]
7. Helena
“Helena” takes place in church. “Helena” is the deceased woman. The pale mourners make the color scheme pop. The band commits to their theme. You don’t see “Helena” buried, but you witness the wake and the group bringing her to the hearse.
[New Page=6. Na Na Na ]
6. Na Na Na
“Louder than God’s revolver and half as shiny.” This line always tickles me. I love that they radio edit with beeps in this video. When this song comes on, you can tell who the true fans are. Na Na Na is easy to say. A true fan knows the rest of the chorus.
[ New Page=5. The Ghost of You ]
5. The Ghost of You
I love the concept for this video. You can’t go wrong with the World War II theme. It really evokes the pain and sorrow behind the lyrics. Sure, the instruments are a bit advance for the time period. This doesn’t matter. These men look great in uniform!
[ New Page=4. I’m Not Okay ]
4. I’m Not Okay
This was the first song and video that I heard and watched by My Chemical Romance. It was love at first sight. The video is hilarious and Gerard Ways face is so animated, and I love his voice.
[New Page=3. Famous Last Words ]
3. Famous Last Words
The video stays in one location. Sometimes, you don’t need all the bells and whistle. The passion and the performance are enough. I would love to see this song live.
[ New Page=2. Sing ]
2. Sing
“Sing” is a continuation of “Na Na Na”, which is more serious. The group is on a rescue mission. There are casualties on both sides. It is hard to tell who the victor was.
[ New Page= 1.Welcome to the Black Parade ]
1. Welcome to the Black Parade
This song is about accepting death, moving forward, and knowing that loved one hasn’t left you. They are they are in the little rituals you shared together. They stay alive in your memories. Remind them how they were, not how they ended.
