During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live Thursday night, Demi Lovato finally addressed the reason why she suddenly unfollowed Selena Gomez on Twitter.
Rumors of a falling out between the two stars have been swirling since July when the Lovato unfollowed Gomez on Twitter. The singer agreed to play a round of “Plead the Fifth” where host Andy Cohen asked Lovato a series of questions ending with the question fans of the two girls have been speculating over. Cohen asked “You recently unfollowed your BFF Selena Gomez on Twitter. So much speculation about this! Can you tell us why?” EOnline. Lovato asks if she can plead the sixth, before Cohen follows up by asking if “people are reading too much into it.” Lovato opens up and says “I think it’s just one of those things where people changed and people grow apart.” /A>
The young stars have been friends for years, since getting their start on Disney Channel, but in recent years the gal pals have kept their distance due to Lovato’s rehab stint in 2010. /A>
