Miley Cyrus opens up about 'Bangerz' tour

Miley Cyrus is speaking up about her current concert tour. The singer has caused quite a bit of controversy with her latest live concert tour. The set design is reportedly awash with sexual material and allusions to drug use.

The 21-year-old pop star is notorious for her tiny on-stage ensembles and has actually been banned from performing in the Dominican Republic as she “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs” that are “punishable by Dominican law.”

However, Cyrus is finally breaking her silence on the subject with the much-anticipated start to the Australian leg of the Bangerz tour. In a new interview with Sunday night, she spoke about what the tour is supposed to represent. “I think what this show kind of represents is just freedom to the fullest…I think—with me a lot—people don’t always know what to expect.”

As for what the tour gives fans, Cyrus maintains that people are often “surprised by how much heart this show has.” She even acknowledges the props that have gotten her persecuted among the media, saying, “We have all these things like the tongue and the hot dog and…huge furry animals and mascots because it’s fun…and I love the life and the excitement that it brings to the show.”

Cyrus has also recently spoken about her take on public image and the media.
