Teen abducted and sexually assaulted by Alabama couple who wanted baby

An Alabama couple wanting a baby sexually assaulted an underage girl, hoping she would get pregnant.

29 year-old Jeremy Swann and his wife, Amanda Swann, are charged with rape. The girl was assaulted six times but did not get pregnant, reported the Associated Press.

The mother of Jeremy Swann, Dianna Swann, reportedly knew about the incident but did not report what was going on. She was also arrested and charged in connection with the crime.

According to The Selma Times Journal, the girl is a relative of Amanda Swann. Janet Cole, the Dallas Country Sheriff’s Department investigator, said the couple wanted full custody of the victim because Dianna Swann was sexually assaulting her.

However, the girl told investigators it was the couple sexually assaulting her.

“They propositioned her to have sex with Jeremy so that she could get pregnant, and so she could have a baby for them. The victim told us it happened at least six times,” Cole said.

Diana Swan was also present when the sexual assault was going on. Cole said the woman "heard the girl screaming, and she did nothing."

The three are due in court today for a bond hearing.
