It’s officially football season! In order to kick off the big game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers last night, Aug. 4, “Break Free” singer Ariana Grande opened the game by perfectly performing the National Anthem.
My Everything, debuted on the top of Billboard 200, has been receiving a lot of media attention due to her quick rise to fame.
With her numerous hit singles, “Problem,” “Break Free,” “Best Mistake,” and “Bang Bang,” taking over the iTunes charts within days of their releases, there was no better decision than to select Grande to sing the National Anthem for the big NFL kick-off game.
The singer stunned the audience with her ability to hit ear-piercing notes while sporting a fitted Seahawks jersey.
Following Grande’s performance, the Seattle Seahawks took to Twitter to congratulate the “The Way” singer on her stellar performance. However, they got the lyrics wrong to the National Anthem, causing Grande to have to correct them via Twitter. Whoops!
good luck & thank u for having me!!! “@Seahawks: The home of the free. And the land of the brave. you tell'em @ArianaGrande #Kickoff2014”
