It’s official! Singer Ashlee Simpson and actor Evan Ross are married, according to multiple reports. Simpson and Ross took the plunge Sunday evening in Connecticut.
The two were married in a private ceremony, in Greenwich, Conn. at the home of Ross’ mother and superstar performer Diana Ross. The elder Ross played double duty at the couple's wedding, marrying the couple and performing for the reception, E! News reports.
Simpson’s older sister Jessica Simpson was the maid the honor for the ceremony, and her adorable son, Bronx, walked her down the aisle. Simpson’s niece and nephew also took part in the ceremony, playing the roles of flower girl and ring bearer.
Simpson’s wedding dress was a stunner, with pearl details all over the gown. Simpson also didn’t disappoint on the jewelry; she reportedly wore $750,000 worth of Neil Lane diamonds and rubies. The couple stayed true to their personalities for the wedding, adding bits of bohemian influence in the theme, according to Us Weekly.
The couple became engaged earlier this year while on vacation. The marriage is the first for Ross, who began dating Simpson in July of last year. This is the second marriage for Simpson, who was previously married to Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz. The two filed for divorce in February of 2011 after about three years of marriage.
