The game was originally planned to be released October 14 of this year.
One of the most interesting aspects of this game is that this is the first time we will see Batman go head to head with a brand new villain in the Batman universe created specifically for this video game, the Arkham Knight.
"The Arkham Knight is one of the main centrepiece villains for our game. He’s like a dark reflection of Batman who commands a military force that’s taken control of Gotham City. He seems to know everything about the Batman: his tactics, his gadgets and his weaknesses," lead character artist Albert Feliu teased about what to expect from this newcomer in an interview with GamesTM.
Rocksteady marketing game manager Guy Perkins also talked about else what we can expect from Batman's villains, including a terrifying Scarecrow voiced by John Noble.
"In terms of the overarching story, Arkham Knight's forces are ever-present and all over the city, so you'll encounter them at numerous locations. Scarecrow is essentially uniting the rogues to bring down Batman, which is his main goal, so there's a more cohesive set of enemy forces, if that makes sense, but they still like to play up to their own agendas," Perkins told International Business Times.
Rocksteady's previous game, Batman: Arkham City snagged the respectable number 12 spot for Empire's 100 Greatest Video Games of All Time countdown.
Gamers patiently wait forBatman: Arkham Knight to be released on June 2 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
