Radio City Rockettes dish about dancing with Pitbull

The season finale of America’s Got Talent was a star studded one and even the famous Radio City Rockettes got to make a special appearance.

Mr. 305 performed his new song “Fireball” with the famous kicker’s on Wednesday’s season finale of the NBC hit variety show and it was definitely a number to remember.

The group started off in silver, sequined dresses alone until the Grammy winner himself came out to sing along. “It was a blast,” the group said. “He was fun to work with.”

“There were 6000 people on their feet and when Pitbull came out on stage with us, whenever we kicked along with him coming down the stage, the crowd was going crazy,” they added with huge smiles.

Compared to the usual choreography of the Radio City Rockettes, the girls were thrilled to be able to show off a different, sassy side of the long legged dancers.

“We got to do a lot of new choreography that I think a lot of us had a blast with,” they said. “We kind of felt like we were in a rock concert.”

Usually the group is known for their Christmas Spectacular held every year at the venue which consists of several dance numbers full of colorful set, extravagant costumes and of course, high kicks.

However, the girls say that being able to show off their talents year round is even more rewarding.

“It’s nice because outside of Christmas we’re getting involved in a lot of other things,” they said. “We’ve been on America’s Got Talent before, Project Runway, Dancing With The Stars, the presidential inauguration… we’re being seen throughout the year not just during Christmas in a whole different light and it’s a great thing for the Rockettes.”

They hope that by performing they can inspire more dance groups to chase their dreams.

“If you have the dream inside of you we say go for it no matter what it is, whether its being a Rockette, modern dance, anything, just go for that dream.“
