Just a year after the excited release of the iPhones 5c and 5s, Apple decided to throw a curveball at us again with the announcement of the iPhone 6.
Last years iPhone 5s was a huge success. The features were new and different – the variety in colors allowed a creative outlook to whoever bought the device and it featured a thumb print security lock (which some people found to be invasive and a little bit creepy). Apple was on top of the world and iPhone sales skyrocketed.
But yesterday’s announcement of the iPhone 6 was a slight disappointment to Apple users and a joke to Droid customers.
The new phone features a more rounded design with a screen that seems a lot bigger than its processors.
However, like last years release, customers have two options of cell phones – the iPhone 6 and 6Plus, which in reality, looks more like a tablet. The regular 6 is still huge.
But as the screens get bigger, the phone is now even slimmer than it was before. This new redesign measures at 6.9mm and 7.1mm (for the Plus) in comparison to the 5’s 7.6mm.
We’re just concerned about how sturdy these delicate little things are going to be.
It’s not only the fragility of these phones that are worrying us. We hope that the promise Apple made that the batters are going to last longer actually do, especially after last month’s recall of iPhone 5 batteries.
One of the biggest and most “exciting” features of the new phone is the new watchband that can be connected to the phone.
Droid users laugh because they beat Apple to it already.
That being said, until we can all play with the actual phone, we can’t really make an educated decision until we physically have the phone in our hands but we’re hoping it’s not just a quickly done device where Apple can make more money, faster.
