Metallica will play for a full week on 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'

If you consider yourself a Metallica fan, you should tune in to The Late Late Show during the week of Nov. 17 for nightly performances.

The head-banging band, which received a week of residency on the show, will assist in Craig Ferguson’s departure as they complement one of his last broadcasts with a bang.

"What better way to celebrate Craig's awesome tenure at CBS than to come and shake the rafters for a whole week," drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone. "Nothing to sell, nothing to promote (except a reissue DVD)...purely hanging at Craig's personal request. Bring it!"

In addition to some great music, Ferguson will interview the band on what should be considered Metallica Monday.

The Late Late Show appearance will also correspond with the 10-year anniversary of Metallica’s documentary Some Kind of Monster, which will be re-released on Nov. 24.

As we previously reported, after 10 years, Ferguson is stepping down as host to let Into The Woods star James Corden take over. His last show is scheduled for December, while Corden will not take over until March 9. In between, CBS will have a carousel of guest hosts.
