On Monday, October 13, I had the honor of returning to the Knot Gala with my fiance. The Knot is the number one online wedding resource. As an excited bride-to-be, I have the Knot and Look Book apps on my phone and refer to them, as well as the website, on a daily basis for research and wedding planning.
The 5th Annual Gala at the New York Public library had over 1,000 guests in attendance. It was a lavish celebration of the end of bridal fashion week with the who's who of the wedding world.
Special guests included Carley Roney, The Knot Co-founder, The Bachelorette couples Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray and Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, and Terry Hall of Kleinfeld.
One of the highlights of the evening was meeting the fantastic Randy Fenoli of Say Yes to the Dress.
The theme of the event, created by the talented Jes Gordon of properFUN, was the five senses. The space of the library was visually stunning with draped ribbons, bistro lights and a colorful floral wall.
Champagne cocktail bars were spread throughout. The variety and amount of food available was pleasing to the taste buds such as pulled pork poppers, sliders, gourmet salads and a soup and spread station. There was even a hanging food forest station, where you can touch and pick your food.
A perfume bar with lovely custom fragrances by Aromachology appealed to the sense of smell.
And of course no party would be complete without great music. The live performers kept the party going as you can see in the video below.
My fiancé and I had a wonderful time rubbing elbows with the people behind the magic of making wedding dreams reality.
