Universal apparently couldn’t wait until Thursday, so the studio posted the full first trailer for Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World today. It is the fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise.
The trailer confirms a lot of rumors about the movie. We see that a “Jurassic World” is a successful theme park, where parents just nonchalantly drop their children off to have fun. There’s also a hybrid dinosaur being created, which is obviously a bad idea, as Chris Pratt tells Bryce Dallas Howard.

It looks like Howard has a large part in the film as the main driving force behind the creation of the dinosaur. Maybe she’s a descendant of John Hammond? Pratt, who flexed his action hero muscles in Guardians of the Galaxy this summer, will be back in action as the sceptical dinosaur wrangler.
Trevorrow owes a lot to Steven Spielberg, who is on as an executive producer for the film. Trevorrow has never directed anything on this scale, but it looks like he’s up to the task with Spielberg overseeing. Not only is there a tribute to Jurassic Park, but the shark must be a nod to Jaws.
Jurassic World opens for visitors on June 12.
