Justin Bieber unfollows ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez on Instagram

In what could be defined as the scandal of the century, Justin Bieber no longer follows Selena Gomez on Instagram, according to Billboard on Thursday.

The unfollowing could possibly stem from Gomez’ latest music video, where Gomez is seen with Evil Dead star Shiloh Fernandez, the two to act close throughout the video.

"I think [Bieber] was a little jealous of the video guy at first," Gomez said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest about Bieber and Fernandez.

According to Billboard, Gomez and Fernandez were spotted together over the weekend.

The “Baby” singer now only follows a total of 44 people on Instagram, the 45th person being the former Disney channel star, Billboard reports. Singers Drake, Cody Simpson and socialite Kendall Jenner are among those who remain followed by Biebs.

Jenner herself recently appeared in a video on Bieber's account discussing coffee cup sizes. While Bieber goes through the sizes, Jenner giggles in the background posted on Tuesday.

This was not the only time Bieber and Jenner have been together. According to the Daily Mail, Bieber brought Jenner along with actor Stephen Baldwin’s daughter Hailey Baldwin to Hillsong Church in New York last Sunday. Hillsong was also the church that Bieber and Gomez used to attend together.

Bieber and Gomez began dating in 2011, rumors of their relationship to circulate after having been photographed together as early as October 2010, according to a timeline compiled by VH1. They would date on and off for a number of years, appearing to break up again last October.

As of Thursday, Gomez and Bieber still follow each other on Twitter. Gomez unfollowed Bieber on Instagram last October.
