For any fan of Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip or the beloved TV specials, the dream of seeing Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang on the big screen has felt improbable. But it is finally happening thanks to Fox and Blue Sky, the studio behind the Ice Age franchise.
Just a day after the studio showed of some delightful stills from The Peanuts Movie, a two-minute teaser trailer surfaced. It doesn’t have anything to do with Charlie Brown’s story, but it shows how Ice Age: Continental Drift director Steve Martino and his team plan to bring Snoopy’s wild imagination to life.
In the trailer, the world’s favorite beagle dreams his usual dreams of shooting down the Red Baron, but Woodstock and his bird friends bring him back to earth. There’s also a hilarious coda at the end with Charlie Brown trying to get a seat in the movie theater.
The Peanuts Movie, which was co-produced by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, opens on Nov. 6, 2015.
