Dwayne Johnson saves lives as world crumbles in 'San Andreas' trailer

The Los Angeles officials hoping to upgrade the infrastructure to deal with a major earthquake could not have asked for a better promotional campaign than the one Warner Bros. is about to give them.

The studio released the teaser trailer for San Andreas on Tuesday. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stars as a well-trained helicopter pilot who saves people. Paul Giamatti is a scientist who is going to yell about the dangers of earthquakes. Lastly, True Detective’s Alexandra Daddario plays someone who looks really worried.

As the world crumbles, a slow, creepy cover of The Mamas and The Papas’ “California Feelin’” plays.

San Andreas was directed by Brad Peyton, who also directed Johnson in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.

The movie hits theaters on May 29, 2015, a few weeks after moviegoers will see Johnson in Furious 7. He was recently seen in this summer’s Hercules.
