For anyone concerned that Pixar may have lost some of its creative edge with sequels, Inside Out should ease your mind, especially since Pixar goes inside our head with the new film.
The new trailer, which was posted first over at Entertainment Weekly, shows what Pixar thinks is going on inside the heads of parents. It turns out, at least according to the studio, that we have a group of emotions at the controls in our brains and they decide how we should react.
What’s going on in Riley’s head is the focus of the film. Her emotions get a star-studded voice cast, including Amy Poehler as Joy, Mindy Kaling as Disgust and Bill Hader as Fear.
This is actually the second trailer for Inside Out. The first one, released back in October, was more like a tribute to Pixar’s past original films.
Inside Out was directed by Up’s Pete Docter and hits theaters on June 19. Other members of the cast include Lewis Black, Kyle MacLachlan and Diane Lane.
