These things happen. One minute you're in a happy committed relationship, and the next, you're fighting for everything you've got.
Quite a few celebrities have ended their relationships this year, whether they have been together for 20 years or 20 days.
A few celebrity couples have called it quits, including actor Jeremy Renner and model Sonni Pacheco, chef Giada De Laurentiis and Todd Thompson, House of Cards actress Robin Wright and Ben Foster, and reality stars Mama June Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson.
The break-ups on this list were both surprising and controversial. Some ended on a happy note, with the two remaining friends, while others scolded one another in interviews, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or by making a song about their hatred toward the other.
Many have already moved on with another relationship, like Sofia Vergara, Naya Rivera and Britney Spears, while others remain contempt with the single lifestyle.
Here are the Top 10 Biggest Celebrity Break-Ups of 2014.
