While Deflate-Gate takes up all the ink and the air surrounding Super Bowl XLIX, the nasty talk is just starting to gear up between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
Lehigh Valley Live has reported that Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner is telling teammates to intentionally target and hurt Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
"At the end of the day, this is about the Super Bowl," Browner said. "I'm gonna tell my teammates to go hit that elbow, go hit that shoulder. ... Try to break it if you can.
"[Sherman] is going to be my best friend after the game, but at the end of the day, I know you want the Super Bowl just as bad as I do."
Sherman is of course dealing with a sprained elbow he suffered in the NFL Championship game against the Green Bay Packers. He didn't miss one snap because of the injury but was clearly hampered. Safety Earl Thomas is also banged up coming in with a separated shoulder.
What spices this sotry up is that Browner is a founding member of the infamous Legion of Boom. He played with Sherman and Thomas up until last season before he signed with New England.

Also what makes this interesting, as CBS Sports pointed out, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had this to say regarding the New Orleans Saints Bounty-Gate incident two years ago:
"Let me be clear. There is no place in the NFL for deliberately seeking to injure another player, let alone offering a reward for doing so."
It truly amazing that a team in the Patriots who are dealing with such a huge controversy as Deflate-Gate would see one of their players publicly comment in this nature.
It remains to be seen what action the league takes, if any, against Browner.
