David Letterman is best known for interviewing celebrities, but he is going to be changing things up at the end of the month. On January 27, The Late Show host becomes the interviewee, getting in the hot seat with guest host Regis Philbin during his stint on The Late Late Show.
Philbin, as Entertainment Weekly covers, has a two-night hosting gig on the late show from the 26-27. Joining Letterman on the 27th are Martha Stewart and Tracy Wolfson. Martin Short, Susan Sarandon, Alan Alda and Tony Danza shoot done Philbin's questions on the 26.
This will not be the first time Letterman is interviewed by Philbin, as he was one of the talk-show host's last guest on Live! with Regis & Kelly back in 2011.
Philbin joins a long-line up of filler hosts for the CBS late show before James Corden takes over the program on March 23. The retired talk show host was a regular favorite on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Among the other guest hosts includes Drew Carey, Judd Apatow, Jim Gaffigan, Will Arnett, Wayne Brady, Sean Hayes, Thomas Lennon, John Mayer and Kunal Nayyar.
Letterman hosts The Late Show with David Letterman until May 20. Stephen Colbert will then take over hosting duties on Sept. 8.
