Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, and his wife, Talulah Riley, have called it quits... again. The two married a second time in summer 2013, but Musk filed for divorce on Wednesday.
Musk and Riley, an actress seen in Inception and Pride and Prejudice, first married in 2010, but then split in January 2012. As the Associated Press notes, he tweeted at the time, “It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever. You will make someone very happy one day.”
The two thought they could be happy together again and married a second time in July 2013. However, Musk filed for divorce on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
They are splitting amicably and Musk agreed to five Riley $16 million, plus other assets, according to a statement. They did have a prenuptial agreement.
While Musk hasn’t tweeted anything about his personal life in recent days, The Daily Mail notes that he did tease new technology for future electric Tesla cars.
He wrote that his company is currently developing self-charging technology. That way, when you drive an electric car up to a charger, a robotic snake would emerge to plug itself into your car.
Btw, we are actually working on a charger that automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake. For realz.
