Model Gigi Hadid has been named the new face of Maybelline New York. Her first ads will debut this October.
Hadid, the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, told Vogue just how much this new job means to her.
“In middle school, I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup. I secretly bought Maybelline’s SuperStay 24HR concealer at CVS,” she said. “I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.”
Hadid, 19, started modeling at age 2 for Guess, whom she’s still in a partnership with today. In recent years, her career has just exploded.
She has taken to her social media accounts to relay her excitement, tweeting, “I'm so beyond honored & excited (at a loss for words, really) to be the new face of @Maybelline!”
