Jennifer Aniston discusses the Oscar snub and grabbing Kate Hudon’s butt

Jennifer Aniston is finding the “silver lining” to an Oscar snub.

Aniston, 45, sat down for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, January 19th and discussed her Oscar snub and that most famous Kate Hudson backside grab on live television.

After DeGeneres showed Aniston and audience members the photo of her grabbing her longtime pal Kate Hudon’s butt, Aniston responded, "Well, my gosh, look at that ass,” according to Us Weekly.

She added, "It's such an irresistible tush. I'm allowed! Ryan Seacrest tried to get in. Kate actually did say, 'Oh well, that's gonna go everywhere.'"

The funny moment between Aniston and Hudson took place at the 72nd Golden Globes Awards during the pre-show airing on E! network. Days after the Golden Globes aired, it was revealed that Aniston was not nominated for an Oscar for her role in the film Cake.

During the interview, the Friends alum decided to point out the positive in this negative situation. "I'm the number one snubbed! That's the silver lining, right?,” Aniston said. "It hasn't even come out. That's the crazy thing! We're so shocked and amazed that we have had this much love for a movie that hasn't even been released yet."

In the anticipated drama, Cake, Aniston plays a woman who is dealing with chronic pain, loss, and addiction. For the role, she has received a SAG, Critic’s Choice, and Golden Globe nomination.

The film is set to be released on January 23rd, but Aniston has already been recognized for the film in a special way. "What's been so incredible is the amount of people that have come out to me who are suffering with chronic pain and in this same situation. It's unbelievable how much positivity it's bringing to those who are kind of silently suffering. It's a beautiful, hopeful movie,” she explained.
