The rivalry goes back over 100 years. Throughout the history bitter words and punches have been thrown leading to body parts and feelings becoming sorely hurt. It is the bitter football rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan.
In only his third season as head coach, Urban Meyer has taken Ohio State to the top of the mountain as they'll face off against Oregon in the National Championship this coming Monday. The shocker about the game is that newly minted Michigan coach, Jim Harbaugh, will be rooting hard for an Ohio State victory.

According to USA Today, Harbaugh made stake of rooting for the Buckeyes on the Rich Eisen Show.
"I'm going to be rooting for Ohio State," Harbaugh said. "I'm a Midwesterner and I was raised in Ohio and went to Michigan and raised in Michigan as well, but for Big Ten football, for Midwest football, a lot of talk about other conferences, I think it's just fabulous that a team in our conference is playing in that game."
Harbaugh is obviously taking the politically correct "conference" direction which shocks many. If there's one thing college football fans were excited about when the news broke that Harbaugh would be coming to Michigan was the fact that he would stir the pot, especially as it related to the school's rivalry with Ohio State.
Of course he'll have plenty of opportunities to stir the pot in the coming years. Don't be surprised if he chooses to do so shortly after the National Championship game concludes.
