From photo shopped images with Elvis, morphed childhood photos, to downright trippy, possibly drug-induced edits, Miley Cyrus has a new obsession, and this time it’s cheesy.
Pizza, particularly pepperoni, has taken over Cyrus’s Instagram. This choice of greasy cuisine first appeared on Nov. 13, 2014, where it was photo shopped to appear as the star’s leotard, with an altered brand name from Pizza Hut to Pizza Slut. Since then, pizza has been added to the majority of Cyrus’s posts, ranging from feminist propaganda to edits of Cyrus eating pizza in the womb.
In blatantly exhibiting his support, Patrick Schwarzenegger bought his fairly recent girlfriend an entire pizza ensemble, including a onesie decked out in cheese and pepperoni prints, according to MTV News.
With the most recent post on Jan. 5, 2014, which incorporates both a childhood portrait of Cyrus and the infamous pepperoni pizza, Cyrus has sustained her obsession for almost two months.
This Instagram phenomenon went beyond edits into actuality, when a pepperoni pizza comforter set transformed the singer’s bedroom into a land of Italian-inspired temptation. The caption “Looks like an edit but it most certainly is not (three pizza emojis) dats my bed fokz,” relays the reality of Cyrus’s obsession. Multiple edits followed using the bedspread, but for at least one photo, 13.9 million followers had the privilege of not only seeing Cyrus’s newest fixation outside of edits, but also of stepping into the bedroom of their beloved performer. What can we say, the newly 22-year-old’s two month addiction adds a whole new meaning to her single “Adore You.”
