Taylor Swift’s team quickly wiped away any trace that her social media accounts were hacked earlier today, but the singer couldn’t resist making fun of those who threatened to release nude photos of her.
As previously reported, two tweets appeared on Swift’s Twitter page this morning, urging her millions of fans to follow users named @veriuser and @lizzard. It turns out that the @lizzard handle is run by the Lizard Squad, the same group that hacked XBox Live and Playstation Network on Christmas Day.
The hackers threatened to release nude photos of Swift, which she said would be impossible. They would have to photoshop them “cause you got NOTHING,” she wrote.
Swift, who hadn’t tweeted herself since Saturday before today, also thanked Paramore singer Hayley Williams for letting her know about the hackers. The “Blank Space” singer called Williams the real “MVP of the day.”
“Here's to the proof that you can win an MVP award for just basically sitting on the Internet for too long,” Williams replied.
So it looks like Swift will have material for a new verse for “Shake It Off.” Williams will have to provide some backing vocals.
Cause the hackers gonna hack, hack, hack, hack, hack...

I'd like to acknowledge the MVP of the day, @yelyahwilliams, for being the first to text me about the hack this morning. #FriendshipGoals
