Bachelorette couple Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray shocked fans when they announced their split last month and on Sunday’s The Bachelor: Chris Tells All, Dorfman tearfully gave an explanation for their split.
At the time of their split, they said in a joint statement that it’s “what's best for both of us individually” and on Sunday she explained what she meant by that.
She called their break-up the “biggest failure of my life,” adding it was “mutual.”
Dorfman explained, "We were both very aware of the fact that we just didn't better each other. I didn't feel supportive and empowered and I don't think I gave him that support and empowerment that he needed.”
She went on to point out that their personalities were too similar, saying, “When you have two very passionate, very strong personalities in one house and nobody can back down and nobody is the calming force for one another ... it's a lot of emotion. It's a lot of tension in one house."
The Bachelorette star admitted they’re not on speaking terms right now because there’s too much “emotion” right now.
"I'll always love him. I've never loved anybody like that in my life,” she said. “I never even experienced love like that. I mean, will always, always have a love for him. That was my first true love, without a doubt -- and my first heartbreak."
USA Today notes she also explained that what makes it even more difficult is that they had people who had “rooted for us” on television and she can’t help feel that she “disappointed people.”
