Blake Shelton explains why he is still a part of 'The Voice'

Blake Shelton has been a part of The Voice since it started back in 2011 and is has never missed a season. The reality singing competition is now celebrating it's eight season and Shelton is still happy to be a part of it. The country superstar not only is a coach on the show but has also won the entire competition four times.

The "Neon Light" singer was recently interviewed on an ABC radio station and opened up about his career, successes and his time on the NBC show.

“Some of the most exciting things thats happened for me in recent times is seeing artists that Ive worked with on this show have some success, whether its getting a record deal, whether its winning an award,” explained Shelton. “Whatever it is, being nominated for awards those are the things that keep me coming back here as a coach on "The Voice."

The show has helped launch the country music careers of Danielle Bradbery, The Swon Brothers, RaeLynn and the most recent winner, Craig Wayne Boyd, all members of Team Blake.

Taste of Country added that Shelton expressed that his passion now is to help others with their career and see them advance with the industry. "To have one little, tiny part in that for some of these artists, thats really exciting for me," said Shelton.

The Voice season eight started on Monday with the blind auditions.
