Forget Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, the older generation of “Uptown Funk” is stepping in. In a new viral cover of the hit song, grandmas and grandpas step in to show the youngins’ how to do it.
Alex Boye, the producer of the cover, says the stars of the video range in age from 65 to an impressive 92 years old.
“All the grandmas and grandpas in this video did their own stunts,” he wrote as the description on YouTub. “They range in age from 65 to 92! Between them, they have raised 500 children, 1,200 grandchildren and 250 great grandchildren!"
At this point, it looks like “Uptown Funk” is well on the way to getting the “Happy” treatment that Pharrell got. There were multiple viral covers of the Grammy winning song last year.
Mars even admitted to getting teary-eyed at the viral video posted last month of the high school teacher in Dallas, Texas who did a cover of "Uptown Funk" and got his students involved.
