Here's your first look at the new 'Frozen' short, 'Frozen Fever'

Do you want to build a snowman, again? If so, you'll have to go see Cinderella in theaters on March 13, where Disney will be premiering the followup to their hit film Frozen in the form of a short film.

The first official look at "Frozen Fever" came from Disney Animation's offical YouTube channel this morning. The trailer gives us a small glimpse at the plot of the short, which will be about Elsa and Kristoff teaming up to throw Anna a birthday party. But according to the official plot description, when Elsa catches a cold, her powers put the party at risk. The trailer doesn't really give us a whole lot else, but the short will also apparently feature a new song, which hopefully will be just as fun and catchy as the ones in the original movie. According to The Huffington Post the new song will be written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who wrote the songs for Frozen and who won an Oscar for "Let It Go."

Frozen Fever will bring back most of the team from Frozen, with Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad reprising their characters and Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee returning to direct, according to Slashfilm.

This is a pretty unique case of a studio actually releasing a trailer for a short film that plays before a movie, but then Frozen isn't your average movie. The Disney film was nothing short of a phenomenon, grossing $1.2 billion worldwide and becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time Frozen Fever is likely just the beginning of Disney extending the Frozen franchise, with Frozen 2 apparently in development according to Screen Rant.

Premiering "Frozen Fever" in front of Cinderella is a pretty genius move for Disney. The upcoming live action movie will likely already do pretty well, but if Disney can build up some hype around this trailer there will for sure be Frozen fans who buy a ticket for Cinderella mainly to see the short. If you don't think that will happen, you don't realize how insanely passionate Frozen fans can be.

"Frozen Fever" (and Cinderella) will premiere in theaters on March 13.
