Jon Bon Jovi has been married to his wife Dorothea for 25 years, which is measured in dog years in the entertainment industry.
The rocker, who performed at the Common Thread: An Acoustic Collection Music Series in New York City on Thursday, shared his simple secret: he chose the right person.
"I got it right the first time," he told People about his high school sweetheart. "She's the best, I just adore her.”
The AP reports the “Livin’ On a Prayer” singer started the Common Thread initiative with Kenneth Cole, which was started to give up-and-coming designers and artists a platform.
"Despite all the social media and the ability for people to have a voice, it's so hard for them to find an audience for that voice," Cole explained about what influenced them to start the initiative. "So tonight is kind of the two of them coming together, and that's what the common thread."
