Kim Kardashian reaches 27 million followers on Instagram

Attention world: Kim Kardashian has more followers than Australia does inhabitants.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians star on Instagram. Just to put into perspective the enormity of that number, 23.13 million people live in the entire country of Australia. If your jaw just dropped, we understand.

In celebration of this somewhat extraordinary feat, Kim posted an almost nude photo of herself on Instagram, because what other way is there to celebrate life milestones?

This is not the first time Kim has posted a photo like this to reward her followers, Just Jared reports. When she reached 16 million followers in July 2014, she shared a barely-there bikini Instagram photo after Tweeting, "I just got to 16mil Instagram followers! This makes me soooo happy! I'm gonna post some pics tomorrow to celebrate!!!!" US Weekly reported.

Are you surprised her natural reaction was to post a selfie? The name of her book is Selfish and is a compilement of selfies...

But, the trend seems to run in the Kardashian/Jenner family. On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Kim's little/not-so-little-anymore half sister, Kendall Jenner, celebrated reaching 20 million followers with her own sexy selfie titling the post, “Ask and you shall receive. selfie for all 20 mill of you. thanks for all the love.”

Kendall's 20 million Insta fans is almost five times the number of people that live in New Zealand.

The Kardashians are taking over the world one Instagram follower at a time.
