Glee finished filming days ago and as photos appeared on social media accounts of the cast and crew celebrating their last day, there was bitter sweetness tinged in the air. One cast member was obviously missing from celebrating and saying goodbye to Glee after six seasons.
Cory Monteith, the tall Canadian actor who portrayed the loveable Finn Hudson, passed away in July 2013 and he has never been far from the minds of his co-workers, including girlfriend Lea Michele.
Us Weekly reported that Michele took home one final memento in honor of her late boyfriend and the character he played.
Michele ended the day with a final Tweet saying, “One last thing” and included a heart emoji with an image of her walking away from the set carrying something. At first, it’s hard to make out, until you realize it’s the number 5 jersey that Finn Hudson wore on the show.

According to New York Daily News, Michele wrote on one Twitter post, “Thank you so much to all of our amazing Gleeks who supported us so much! I love you guys.” She also spoke about being “grateful” to the crew she worked with and how she would miss her character, Rachel Berry, “very much.”
