Authorities in Las Vegas are still searching for any suspects involved in what they believe was a road rage shooting that killed a mother after teaching her daughter how to drive.
The Associated Press noted that the incident took place on Thursday when Tammy Meyers, 44, was driving back to her home after giving her 14-year-old daughter driving lessons in parking lot. During the drive, Meyers almost got into an accident with another vehicle.
Reuters reported that the woman then had a verbal confrontation with the other motorist. Police said the other driver followed Meyers home and she called her adult son who was armed with a handgun.
Outside the residence someone in the other car fired shots and a bullet struck Meyers. Her son returned fire and at least one bullet is said to have hit that vehicle, which he believed had three passengers inside.
Meyers was taken off life support on Saturday.
The suspect’s car is described as a four-door gray or silver sedan. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department immediately.
