Actors Bruce Willis and Glenn Close are celebrating their birthdays today, March 19.

Bruce Willis, 60

Actor, producer and singer Bruce Willis turns 60 today. Willis began his career on stage and later transitioned into television acting, appearing in The Twilight Zone, Moonlighting (recurring role), Roseanne and Bruno the Kid. Willis won an Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role in Moonlighting.

Willis gained worldwide attention after playing John McClane in the Die Hard series, consisting of five films and possibly a sixth. Throughout his career, Willis has appeared in over 60 films, most notably Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and The Expendables 2.

Willis won an Emmy in 2000 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on Friends. He is also a four-time Saturn Award nominated actor.

Willis has three daughters with his former wife Demi Moore, including Rumor Willis who went on to become an actress as well. Willis later married model Emma Heming in 2009 and had two more daughters.

Glenn Close, 68

Film, television and stage actress Glenn Close turns 68 today. Glenn started acting on stage in the 1974 production Love for Love and continued to star in numerous New York stage productions. She won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play for her roles in The Real Thing, Death and the Maiden and Sunset Boulevard.

Close made her big screen debut in the 1982 film The World According to Garp and went on to star in The Big Chill and The Natural, earning Academy Award nominations for all three films. For her roles in Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liaisons and Albert Nobbs, Close earned the Academy Award for Best Actress for all three films. Close also notably starred as Cruella de Vil in Disney's 101 Dalmatians, reprising the role for the sequel 102 Dalmatians.

Close also had a successful television career, appearing in The Shield, the television film The Lion in Winter (winning her first Emmy) and starring in FX's Damages, earning a Golden Globe Award for her role. She also won an Emmy Award for the television film Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story.

Close has a daughter, Annie, with producer John Starke. She is currently married to executive and venture capitalist David Shaw.
