'Chicago Fire' alum becomes leading lady to 'Lucifer'

Lucifer has found his main squeeze in Lauren German just months after her departure from Chicago Fire.

German will play a homicide detective who plays the love/hate tango with Tom Ellis who will play the title role in the DC Comics possible drama pilot, Deadline reports.

it was announced in February that Ellis nabbed the title role in the pilot.

In the possible upcoming pilot, German will portray Chloe Dancer who works for the Los Angeles Police Department. She becomes right hand gal to Lucifer, who has abandoned hell and chooses to help clean up the streets of LA with LA’s finest. Their partnership helps the dark one become curious as to why Dancer is so angelically good which causes him to think that the world may not be a lost cause after all and that humans can actually be decent human beings.

Upon the news getting out German retweeted the news originally from Deadline with the statement of how excited she is.

The pilot was scribed by Californication creator Tom Kapinos, who will exec-produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Sleepy Hollow EP Len Wiseman who will also direct the pilot.

In addition to her tragically ended role of Leslie Shay on Chicago Fire, German’s acting credits include Memphis Beat, Hawaii Five-0 and Hostel: Part II.
