Lara Spencer and husband David Haffenreffer are splitting after 15 years of marriage

Lara Spencer, co-host of Good Morning America is reportedly splitting from her husband David Haffenreffer after 15 years.

According to Page Six, the couple made a statement about the split saying, “After a lot of thought, care an consideration, we have decided to end our marriage.” They also revealed that the decision was not easy, especially since they are parents to two children, Kate and Duff. They also revealed that they would work together to raise their children together and that “they remain our top priority.”

The couple married in 2000 in a wedding in Southampton, a decision made because it was where they had begun their relationship. At the time, Spencer worked as a reporter on WABC-TV and was only a contributor for GMA while Haffenreffer worked for CNN as a contributor to Ahead of the Curve. He now works in real estate.

Spencer and Haffenreffer made their home in Los Angeles before moving to New York in 2009. E! News reported that Spencer was referred to herself as the “funny best friend” during an interview with Good Housekeeping about herself as a wife.

Even though the couple is parting ways, they are still taking a family vacation with their children, Kate and Duff.
