Mark-Paul Gosselaar is going back to his NBC roots with People Are Talking.
Following up to his role on the now cancelled Franklin & Bash, Gosselaar landed the title role in a comedy pilot from NBC called People Are Talking, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
In recent news Gosselaar posed nude to announce his enrollment in a crossfit competition. Gosselaar being a family man will be very busy between family life, his new role and training for the competition.
The comedy will encompass stories of sex, race and stuff you really shouldn’t talk about. Gosselaar will play Mitch, a neurotic guy who tends to over think everything, which is completely balanced by his optimism, silliness and likability. He is a college ethics professor who pays close attention to justice. He knows he can't change the world, but he's determined to change what he can around him.
This marks his return to NBC, where he starred on Saved by the Bell. Gosselaar joins a cast that includes Bad Judge's Tone Bell, who plays Mitch's best friend and neighbor.
DJ Nash of Growing Up Fisher fame will write the script for the multicamera comedy and executive produce.
