A new trailer for the film Mad Max: Fury Road has now been released.
The film is part of the Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise and is the fourth from writer and director George Miller, Comicbook.com reported. The film follows a man named Max in a post-apocalyptic world who has lost both his wife and child after the horrific events that unfolded.
Tom Hardy from The Dark Knight Rises portrays Max. Actress Charlize Theron is also cast as a woman who tries to get back to her homeland since she thinks she will be able to survive this way.
In addition to Miller, Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris also did the screenplay.
As previously reported, the film is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. It will have its own special screening on May 14, one day before it is released in theaters.
This film comes after the previous Mad Max film that came out in 1985 titled Mad Max Beyond Thunderome. The original movie also did a screening at Cannes in 1979.
