One Tree Hill’s Bethany Joy Lenz will be working with the fabulous Shonda Rhimes on Rhime’s new pilot Smoke and Mirrors.
The ABC drama finds Lenz as a partner to a professional conman duo, only the partner is her husband. TV Line has learned exclusively that Lens will be a series regular portraying the loving wife, Zoe, to Kieran.
The potential series previously known as Catch circles around a fraud investigator named Alice Martin played by Mirelle Enos (The Killing). Alice is a strong, successful woman who's about to be conned by fiance Kieran played by Damon Dayoub (NCIS). Also reported to have joined the cast are: Elvy Yost, Jacky Ido, Alimi Ballard and Jay Hayden.The ironic part of the story is that she herself is a fraud investigator who will play victim to fraud by her own fiance. During her downtime in between cases, she is determined to find Kieran before it ruins her career.
Zoe and Kieran pass as siblings when pulling off their cons. Zoe is content with her life as Kieran’s wife and she loves him deeply. She is going to hold onto her husband as long as she can as she feels him slipping away from her.
Lenz of One Tree Hill fame has also recurred on Dexter. She is also working on an upcoming album, Get Back to Gold.
