Prince Andrew serenades daughter Princess Eugenie over FaceTime for her birthday

Princess Eugenie of Britain spent her birthday in New York with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and sister, Princess Beatrice, but one person was unable to attend the festivities. Her father, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was in Britain and decided to FaceTime his daughter during an event he was holding.

According to People, Prince Andrew was hosting an event with both businessmen and businesswomen at St. James’s Palace when he held up an iPad so he could call his daughter. The event, Pitch@Palace, became a sing-along when Prince Andrew had them sing 'happy birthday' to Eugenie.

The birthday girl appeared on camera wearing sunglasses and sitting between her mother and sister. She appeared surprised when her dad informed his audience what the special day was.

E! News reported that once the singing was over, Sarah told the audience “You all need to go for choir practice” before congratulating her ex-husband on his event. Princess Beatrice then told her father, “We’re very proud, pops.”

The event held by Prince Andrew is his third and it is an event that brings start-up companies together with investors who may be able to help expand their business. Jukedeck, a company that the music soundtracks that go with videos, was a winner this year and obtained a grant for $60,000.
