Vanessa Hudgens has recently decided to support feminism, thanks to Beyonce.
The Spring Breakers star told The New York Times that she did not always believe in feminism and used to be on the fence about it.
"I used to be on the fence about it," Hudgens stated, "just because I feel like it gets to a certain place where it almost has the reverse effect, where it's so overpowering and so aggressive that it's like rather than just standing up for female pride and female rights, it becomes, like, 'I am the man.'"
However, the Crazy in Love singer changed her mind. "Beyoncé is, like, killing the game, and I love her," Hudgens said.
To continue on with finding her feminist side, the star said that one of her GiGi on Broadway performances helped the cause.
During on of Hudgens' performances, her fellow High School Musical alum came to cheer her on. "You could just feel the serious girl power in the room," she told the Times.
Hudgens also opened up to the popular magazine about her past relationship with her HSM co-star Zac Efron and his fans. "Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares," she said.
Since her breakup with Efron, Vanessa Hudgens has begun to date The Carrie Diariesstar Austin Butler. Efron has been dating model Sami Miró.
