We're not even a week into the 2015 Major League Baseball season yet some players are already throwing their names into the mix for some of the top highlights of the season.
Over in Kansas City, the defending American League champion Royals are hosting the divisional rival Chicago White Sox in the first series of the season. In fact, they did more than host the White Sox, they swept them.
In Game 1, the Royals put up a 10 spot on Chicago and their starter, Jeff Samardzija. Game 2 saw Kansas City squeak by with a 7-5 victory. Today, in Game 3, once again the Royals got the better of their rivals, 4-1.
Royals starting pitcher Edinson Volquez picked up the win as he went eight strong innings, allowing four hits and striking out five, via CBS.
What turned out to be extremely highlight worthy, however, was what Chicago's center-fielder, Adam Eaton, did.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the Royals nursing a 1-0 lead, Mike Moustakas crushed a pitch to deep right-center field. All Eaton did was completely sprawl out to his left, and match a catch on his backhand that would make even the great Willie Mays blush.
Although in the end, even Eaton's heroics couldn't muster a win in Kansas City to open the 2015 campaign.
