Netflix is giving you more Bob Odenkirk, in case Better Call Saul isn’t enough for you. The actor will star in a sketch comedy show with Arrested Development star David Cross.
The series, titled With David and Bob, will only feature four half-hour episodes, but there will also be an hour-long making-of episode. The comedians will star as dishonorably discharged Navy Seals, who try to serve their country as well as they can. However, we are wondering how they became Navy Seals in the first place.
“Four half-hours of brand new comedy featuring all new characters, all new scenes, and most importantly, all new wigs,” the streaming service promised.
Cross and Odenkirk wrote the series. They will executive produce with Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk,Tim Sarkes, Dave Kneebone Tim Heidecker, and Eric Wareheim. It is an Abso Lutely Productions project.
In addition, Netflix also said it has ordered eight episodes of Montauk, a new drama written and directed by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines). The series is set in 1980s Long Island, where a young boy mysteriously disappears.
Netflix did not say when the new shows will debut.
