Celebrity Birthdays, April 29: Jerry Seinfeld, Uma Thurman and Megan Boone

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld and actors Uma Thurman and Megan Boone are celebrating their birthdays today, April 29.

Jerry Seinfeld, 61

Comedian, actor, writer and producer Jerry Seinfeld turns 61 today. Seinfeld started his career in stand-up comedy. After appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, he went on to performs regular stand-up there as well as on Late Night with David Letterman.

In 1989, Seinfeld, along with comedian Larry David, created the sitcom Seinfeld on NBC. The series ran for nine years and became one of the most popular shows on television. After Seinfeld, he returned to comedy, going on tour and appearing in television advertisements for Apple Computer and American Express.

Seinfeld wrote Seinlanguage in 1993 which featured material from his stand-up. He went on to write the children's book Halloween in 2002.

Seinfeld currently has a web comedy series entitled Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for the series. Seinfeld is married to public relations executive Jessica Sklar. They have one daughter and two sons.

Uma Thurman, 45

Actress, producer and model Uma Thurman turns 45 today. Thurman started her career in modeling before transitioning to acting. She made her film debut in in 1988, starring in Johnny Be Good and Kiss Daddy Goodnight. She went on to star in the Oscar-winning drama Dangerous Liaisons.

Thurman gained recognition for her roles in Henry & June, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and Mad Dog and Glory. Her breakout role came in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. She earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role. She went on to star in The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Batman & Robin, Gattaca, Les Misérables and The Avengers.

Thurman earned a Golden Globe for her role in the HBO film Hysterical Blindness, in which she also served as executive producer. She reunited with Tarantino for his films Kill Bill Volume 1 and Kill Bill Volume 2. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for both films.

Thurman later transitioned to television, earning her first recurring role on the NBC series Smash. She earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. She later appeared in the NBC series The Slap, which ran from February to April 2015 and is based on an Australian series of the same name.

Megan Boone, 32

Film, television and theater actress Megan Boone turns 32 today. Boone started her career on stage, appearing in the production of Limonade Tous Les Jours, winning two LA Weekly Theater Awards for her performance. She later made her film debut in My Bloody Valentine 3D in 2009.

In 2010, Boone had a supporting role in Sex and the City 2. In 2010, she made her directorial debut with the independent film Eggshells for Soil. She went on to star as Junior Deputy District Attorney Lauren Stanton in the Law & Order: Los Angeles spin-off in 2012. That same year, she appeared in Step Up Revolution and the independent film Leave Me Like You Found Me winning the Best Actress Gen Art Film Festival Award for the latter.

In 2013, Boone had a recurring role on the CBS police drama series Blue Bloods. She went on to earn a starring role on the popular NBC drama, The Blacklist where she plays FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen.
