Long Island commuter snaps photo of quadruple rainbow

Long Island got a rare treat when a quadruple rainbow appeared after the state experienced stormy weather.

According to USA Today, a woman named Amanda Curtis had been waiting to board a train in Long Island, NY when she saw people taking photos of what appeared to be a double rainbow. She noticed herself that “there were four separate rainbows.”

She took a photo and tweeted it to her followers, captioning it “Today will be four pots of #gold.”

The photo is stunning and shows two rainbows appearing to reflect on the brighter portions seen on the left.

Back in 2011, a camera captured what appeared to be some of the first photos that are known to have been taken of a quaruple rainbow. The New York Daily News reported that Curtis said that “I just thought it was interesting. It’s Tuesday, it’s 6:30 am, you need a little motiviation.”

Another viral video in 2010 showed a double rainbow in Yosemite Park, located in California. Double rainbows are more common than quadruple rainbows, but they are still simply gorgeous.
